I look across the crowded room, see your smiling face. And wish to cross this great divide, And dance with you. Just dance till the sun rises, And the sky brightens. My poor broken and battered heart swells at the sight of you. And oh how I wish to sit and talk. Just like we used to, before. Before we drifted our separate ways and things got in the way. Oh how I have missed you, my dear friend. Can our joys resurface and our sorrow end? May we share a dance? Or a word? Must I beg? We were so close, why should that end? Come across the crowded room and join me in a dance. Share a smile, a laugh, with a friend. When the night comes to a close
Alone in a crowded room.
Everyone laughing,
And you are gloom.
Look across the crowd,
Seeing familiar, smiling faces.
Everything is loud.
Feeling among strangers,
Called friends.
Or, are you the stranger?
Look in their eyes
And wonder,
Can they see your lies?
You too, are a smiling face,
Hiding the truth deep inside.
What if they see the true case?
But, you are the stranger
In the crowded room,
None see the lurking danger.
They cannot see the lies
Of your pain hidden
In the depths of your eyes.
Just keep hiding your lies
From these strangers.
Hide them deep in your eyes,
What could be the dangers?

I write my own music and most of the poetry found in my gallery is songs. My first love is, and always will be, music and my instrument of choice is the piano. I still enjoy drawing and taking pictures but music is where my heart is. Hope you enjoy my gallery and as always I would appreciate it if you told me what you think. Thank you!
